Given the task to create a selfportrait I decided to present a "look behind the face". One will to see an organ: half heart - half brain behind a mask of glass, metaphors for my logical and emotional traits- so far the concept.

My goal was a high quality artwork with every part of it being created by me. After sketching out the ideas I began putting my vision together. Therefore I taught myself how to model a 3D face, took shots of the organs, fire and effects. In the process I improved on my use of color and contrast, lighting and composition as well as my overall techniques and workflow.

The Image has been printed on 90x60 cm

it is basically a metaphor- as i am emotional and rational in equal parts and do not want to separate the traits that build my personality.
